Happy June! Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, step dads, granddads, coaches and those who we just call dad, this
month is dedicated to you. Dads for all you do for us behind the scenes, long hours at work, fixing things around the
house and chasing the bogeyman out of our room. It’s all you do that makes you the essence of a super hero. May you
all have the most enjoyable day.
Summer is here the kids are out of school and it’s time to have some fun. It’s time to play and I’m not just talking about
the kids, I’m telling the whole family to play together enjoy life together. It’s the missing ingredient to many families
today. We claim we are too tired, too busy, too worn out, too serious. Who wants to come home to that? Families
should be fun, playful, enjoying every day.
Kids grow up quick, cherish the moments. The one thing you want them to know, not how smart they are how good
they are but how much they are loved and that you had fun as a family. Christina Katz writes about; “Dads Just Want
To Have Fun: 33 Unforgettable Father's Day Outings.” This doesn’t just have to be one day this month make a list of
different fun things you can do throughout the week, month, year. Our children are not going to remember how many
times we told they to go clean their room, or maybe even advise we gave them but they will remember the fun you had
as a family.
Summer is all about the fun, but it’s also a great time to think about a job for your teen. Of course we think Publix or
fast food joints but Chista Hines writes us “Beyond the Burger Joint: 7 Summer Job Tips for Teen.” Does your child like
to be on the computer, chat to their friends all day? As a parent you may think about having your child start their own
blog, read on to find out tips on how to start one.
Summer is clearly here, muggy days, kids out of school; now get out there and have some family fun.
